MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Inhofe, Vitter, DeMint, Sessions and GOP Senators Hosting a Press Conference to Discuss TARP II

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) along with U.S. Sens. David Vitter (R-La.), Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) and other GOP Senators will host a press conference at noon on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. The Senators will be discussing the disapproval resolution for the release of the final Troubled Asset Relief Program funds.
Senator Inhofe is an original co-sponsor of the disapproval resolution authored by Senator Vitter that would block Congress’s ability to release the remainder of the TARP funds. U.S. Sens. Bunning, Sessions, DeMint, Barrasso, Enzi and Brownback have also co-sponsored the resolution.
