WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), today reacted to an announcement by the U.S. Air Force that unveiled basing criteria for the planned KC-46A aerial refueling aircraft. Of the 54 Air Force installations being considered, Altus Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma is a potential candidate for selection.
The Air Force published basing criteria and a weighted scale that takes into account many different factors such as missions, capacity, and cost.
